The Olifantsfontein SAPS is appealing for information regarding a man who was killed after being struck by a car.
The incident occurred along the M57 road in Olifantsfontein on May 24.
According to the Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, a 55-year-old woman claimed to have hit the victim with her car when he ran onto the road in front of her.
“It is believed the man was exiting an area of open veld. The woman could not stop in time to avoid the accident. The man was certified dead at the scene,” said Const Sesing.
The identity of the victim is still unknown and the SAPS is appealing for a resident or family member to come forward, if they know of a missing person.
