THREE men thought it clever to hide a stolen plasma TV in a black plastic bag and casually walking down the street as if nothing had happened. Unfortunately for them, police were patrolling on West Street and they were caught out.
Spokesman for Kempton SAPS, Capt Jethro Mtshali, said the men were taken into the station by Const Madimetja Aphane for questioning on October 4 at about 11am.
While at the station, he received information of a housebreaking from the previous night in Norkem Park where a TV was stolen. The home owner gave a serial number for the TV, which matched the one on the plasma TV found on the three suspects.
All three men, two aged 20 and one 21, were arrested and charged with housebreaking and being in possession of suspected stolen property.
