KEMPTON Park SAPS is investigating the death of a home owner in Glen Eagle Estate on Tuesday night.
Bafana Shongwe (42) was found dead at the home, which is still under construction, by his wife.
The station’s spokesman, Capt Jethro Mtshali, confirmed that Shongwe had fallen from the building.
“Police were informed of the incident in the early hours of Wednesday morning at about 12.40am. The man was found lying dead on the ground,” Mtshali said.
Mtshali said police were investigating the causes surrounding the death and that he currently could not divulge further details.
The Glen Eagle Estate manager, Christo Snyman, said they were also awaiting feedback from the police and forensic investigators as to the cause of death.
Snyman confirmed that the house belonged to Shongwe but that it was under construction and he had not yet taken occupation.
“The security guard reported the incident to us at about 9.30pm after the deceased’s wife informed him of the matter and necessary measures were taken to call the emergency services and police,” he said.
