POLICE are investigating a case of attempted murder after a victim was caught in a shoot out last week Monday at 6.10pm, in what looked like a botched hijacking.
The incident took place at a company on Steel Road in Spartan. It was knock off time and an employee was leaving the office.
According to Kempton Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Jethro Mtshali, the man saw two men drive towards him in the parking area in a suspicious looking VW Polo.
The man dropped his keys to the ground as he thought he was being hijacked.
“The security guard also noticed this vehicle and fired a shot at the vehicle. The suspects retaliated. Another employee was caught in the cross-fire and was hit by a stray bullet,” explained Mtshali.
Mtshali said they needed information to locate the suspects and requested anyone who could assist to contact 08600 10 111 or SMS Crime line on 32211.
