NORKEM Park SAPS, together with members of the metro police, arrested four suspects at the Esselen Park RDP houses for possession of stolen cables shortly after midnight on Friday.
According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, a private investigator from Ekurhuleni was patrolling around the area and spotted a group of men digging out copper cable.
“The investigator called for back-up from the police and the metro police, who reacted swiftly to the complaint and arrested four male suspects in possession of copper valued at about R8 000,” said Molokomme.
The arrested suspects, aged between 21 and 35, will appear in court facing charges of theft.
