A man pretending to be a car guard, was arrested at Norkem Mall on Saturday, November 8.
Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, said officers found house breaking implements and several car keys in the man’s possession.“On the day, police spotted the man peeping into cars at Norkem Mall at 8.30am. They approached the suspect who alleged he was a car guard at the mall.
Molokomme said upon speaking to other guards, it was found the suspect was unknown to them.
In another incident on the same day, a suspect was arrested on Brine Street in Chloorkop by company security guards.
“He was found cutting the factory’s fence. He was also found in possession of pliers, screw drivers and some instruments used to break into houses,” said Molokomme.
