Mother not ready to forgive her daughter’s killer

The application was granted and the case postponed until Thursday

Sasha-Lee Bam, the mother of murdered Jasmin Pretorius (4) is not ready to forgive her daughter’s killer.

The case against the Brakpan man, accused of raping and murdering his niece, Jasmin, started in the Delmas High Court on Monday morning.

Bam spoke to Brakpan Herald shortly before trial proceedings got underway.

“It’s been an emotional roller coaster, and the last two weeks have been really hectic,” she said.

The court heard that the accused struggled to remember what happened on the day of the crime and that he may have an underlying mental condition.

The application was granted and the case postponed until Thursday.
