According to Tembisa Cluster’s Communication Director, Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha, police received information from members of the public about a suspect who was “roaming around” the area and in possession of firearms.
The suspect is also connected to house and business robberies in Tembisa.
“The detectives went to a house at Xubeni section where the suspect is staying. When they searched his room, they found him in possession of suspected stolen property.
He was found in possession of two television sets, 19 wrist watches , two video cameras , one digital camera, ammunition for a 9mm pistol, a 7.65 pistol with six rounds of ammunition , 6.35 baby brown pistol with 35 rounds of ammunition. He was also found in possession of a pellet gun and a firearm safe,” Captain Ralidzhivha said. He will appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
