A shocking video of an armed robbery at the Engen Service Station on the R21 north just outside Kempton Park has surfaced on Facebook on Wednesday.
The incident took place just after 11am on January 17 and shows how a motorist is being robbed while parked at one of the fuel pumps at the station in Olifantsfontein.
Two men got out of a car. While one, apparently armed with a firearm, approached the driver, the other walked towards the car’s boot. The armed man suddenly leaned into the vehicle and came out with a bag.
Both men calmly walked back to their vehicle, got in and drove off.
While all of this was happening, everything at the station carried on as is nothing was going on.
Express so far learned that the victim and his passenger were apparently followed from a bank in Festival Mall. However, details are still sketchy.
