Investigations are underway to identify persons responsible for the illegal activity

HUGE dagga plants concealed in a mealie field next to a school were discovered by the metro police in Tembisa on Wednesday last week.

Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, said the plants were discovered by a metro police and peace corps member contingent conducting crime prevention patrols in Winnie Mandela Zone II.

The vigilant peace corps members detected the illegal plants in a mealie plantation on Vostok Street, a stone’s throw from Bokamoso Secondary School.
