POLICE officers from Garsfonetin followed a tracking signal on an i-Pad which led to the arrest of two suspects on Wednesday, January 14 at about 5.30pm.
Norkem Park spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, said the first suspect had been arrested on Maraboe Street in Birch Acres.
“The i-Pad was stolen during a house robbery in Garsfontein,” explained Molokomme. “The signal led the police to the house. A male suspect had the device in his possession.”
On searching the suspect’s room, five live rounds of ammunition for a .38 Special revolver were recovered, five reflectors, two blankets, two metro police radios and a safe with suspected cloned money inside.
The second suspect was arrested in Phomolong Section, Tembisa.
Both suspects, aged 23, appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Thursday last week facing charges of possession of unlicensed ammunition and suspected stolen property.
