NORKEM Park SAPS is looking for a suspect responsible for an attempted robbery and assault.
On January 16, at about 8.20am, the suspect was caught on CCTV cameras at a complex on Panorama Street in Edleen, attacking a 58-year-old woman in her garden.
Capt Lesibana Molokomme, Norkem SAPS spokesman, said the woman was grabbed around neck from behind. The suspect tried to push the her onto the ground but she fought back.
The victim managed to escape from the yard and went to her neighbours for help.
“During the scramble, the elderly woman sustained injuries to her nose and hand. When the suspect saw her run out for help, he also fled the scene without taking anything from her,” he further explained.
