A man was hit and killed by a train at a railway crossing between Ibazelo and Tsenelong shortly after 8 pm on Tuesday night.

A man was hit and killed by a train at a railway crossing between Ibazelo and Tsenelong shortly after 8pm on Tuesday night.
Eyewitness who had just crossed the railway line when the incident occurred, said it looked like the man did not see the train coming, as he was about to cross when the train struck him.
“I just crossed the railway line when I heard the train coming. It was a little bit dark, but I saw a person walking into the path of the oncoming train. The train struck him and he died,” said the eyewitness.
The Tembisa SAPS Cluster spokesperson, Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha, confirmed the incident and said police investigations were underway.
