Couple celebrates golden wedding anniversary

COBUS and Desiree Maré celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 6.
They got married in Primrose Methodist Church in 1965 and moved from Hillbrow to Vereeniging, then to Restivia and settled in Kempton Park in June 1969, where they have been residing for the 45 years in the same house.
The two have four children, three daughters and a son, as well as five grandchildren.
Cobus was a teacher at Rhodesfield Technical High School for 28 years and is still active in the teaching profession, while Desiree is a home executive.
