Kempton SPCA’s wish list for 2015

The SPCA has a list of items they need to help them run things smoothly

KEMPTON Park SPCA has a list of items they need to make it easier for them to take care of Kempton’s homeless furry friends.

Pet food such as puppy pellets as well as kitten pellets will go a long way in keeping those little tummies full.

Balls, toys, chews and cat scratch posts will also help keep them busy and active as well as blankets to keep them warm during those cold winter nights. Wall heaters for the kennels and the hospital are also needed to keep the animals warm.

Shelving for the cats, cat litter boxes, baskets for the cats’ kennels, plastic beds for small, medium and large kennels.

Basil, lavender, rosemary and cat mint for the kennels will also help keep them smelling fresh and cement, square piping, mesh and roofing for the cat kennels to keep them in tip top shape.

Just like we all visit the doctor when we’re sick so they can get us back into good health, the pets also need to visit the vet once in a while – and it doesn’t come cheap. Monetary donations for vet bills will also go a very long way.

For the infrastructure of the SPCA:

• Paint brushes, rollers, paint tray, thinners

• Shelving for the second hand shop

• Fans for the office and second hand shop

• Geyser for the office

• New ceiling boards for the office

• Cleaning material and toilet paper

• Hand liquid soap, air freshener

• Tea, coffee, sugar and long life milk

• Stationary

• 2 Garden sets

• Plants, seeds and compost for SPCA grounds

• Decent sellable goods for second hand shop

Any of these items on the wish list would be of great help, so please open your hearts and call the SPCA on 011-975-6537/8.
