Just business for King Ortis and Queen Ndaba

The relationship between Tembisa businessman Ortis Mahlatsi and Sopohie Ndaba, affectionally known as Queen Moroka by millions of Generations fans, is for business only and nothing else.

The two had gossip-mongers on their toes when they were seen cruising around Kempton Park in a Porsche recently.

On investigating, The Tembisan can exclusively reveal that the two are business partners, and nothing else.

The pair were spotted at a corner table in a coffee shop in Kempton Park last week. They were deep in discussion, leisurely sipping their drinks like Hollywood entrepreneurs.

When asked if theirs is a romance made in heaven, the Tembisa construction mogul Otis Mahlatse, was quick to respond, saying there is nothing romantic about their relationship.

“Sophie is a wedding planner, and as such, she is arranging my wedding. By the way, your invitation card is on its way,” he said.

He added that he is going to have a white wedding, and Sophie is also in control of organising the venue for the honeymoon, which will be held in Mauritius later this year.

Even though Mahlatsi has been in construction for the past 15 years, he is now rubbing shoulders with the rich and the famous of Mzantsi. He has several tenders with different government departments, and his company is also repairing all the sewage and water pipes in Tembisa. He is also a philanthropist, and has recently adopted the Lebone Aids Care Project in Umthambeka, Tembisa.

“I have just donated R10 000 and will be doing so every six months,” he said.

Looking at Mahlatsi with sparkling eyes and a velvet voice, Sophie Ndaba said she knows Tembisa well and used to visit Tembisa for some time.

“There are some people I know in Tembisa,” she said.
