THREE suspects had been arrested following a burglary at the house of local musician and songwriter, Ringo Madlingozi, on Wednesday, March 11.
Items valued at about R500 000 were stolen.
According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, at about 8.30pm on the night, security officers from MML arrested one suspect for housebreaking and theft at Queen Ann Gardens in Terenure.

“The owner of the house said he had left for Cape Town for a few days and received a call from MML Security alerting him they had arrested a suspect. He arrived at his home and was told the other suspects had managed to escape,” explained Molokomme.
“The suspect gave police the names of his two accomplices and also confessed they had been breaking into the same house for two days since the Monday,” he further added.
The arrested suspect (24) was detained.
“The following night at about 10pm, Norkem Park detectives, while investigating, were led to Phomolong Section, Tembisa in search of the other two suspects, both in their twenties. The arrest was made in the early hours of Friday morning,” Molokomme said.
The suspects were found in possession of a DVD player, leather jacket and small speakers.
Police are still investigating in a quest to recover the other stolen items which include clothing, music instruments and computer boxes to name a few.
