The king of African Rhumba, Zozo, and the dancing master of Kwasa Kwasa Kanda Bongo Man, will record live DVDs at Emperors Palace on Friday, March 28.
The Venda-based Zozo is regarded as one of the best dancers on the continent.
Together with his band, The Sengere Beat, they left Tembisans eating out of their hands when they performed at Mvelaphanda Primary School almost seven years ago.
Speaking to The Tembisan on Monday morning this week, he promised that those who are at Emperors Palace on Friday will see the best of Zozo in action.
“I have released 15 CDs and DVDs to date, but the 16th is my best to date. This is a show not to be missed and we are going to rock Emperors Palace,” he said.
Meanwhile, the lion of Kinshasha, as Kanda Bongo Man is affectionately known, has been entertaining music fans around the world since the late 1970s.
Now based in France, seeing him in action is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
He is expected to belt out songs like Billy and Money during the event.
