A Glen Marais woman (28), allegedly abused by her father, was found outside her home by a security company on Friday afternoon.

She was taken to hospital by ER24 after a concerned resident spotted her crying in the driveway of her home at about 3pm.

According to Dwaine Hansen of Alpha Security, he and his partner, Hannes, received a phone call from a concerned woman who spotted the crying woman.

”The woman who called said she was driving past when she saw the alleged victim in the driveway crying. She approached her to ask what was wrong, and that’s when the woman apparently told her, her father had made sexual advances at her and she refused,” Hansen said.

The woman had bruises on her body, allegedly caused by her father.

When Alpha Security arrived at the scene, they called for an ambulance and ER24 came to the scene and treated the victim. The paramedics took her to a state hospital where  social workers would try to organise a safe place for her to go to.
