The arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the motor vehicle took place in Tembisa on April 26, at about 7pm.
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said, “Acting on a tip off, the Crime Prevention Task Team members found both the vehicle and the suspect in Mthambeka Section.
“A charge of possession of a stolen vehicle was opened at the Tembisa Police Station and the suspect is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Chief Supt Kgasago.
