Services at clinic continue despite community’s rampage
Residents of the Winnie Mandela Informal Settlement, in the past couple of weeks, went on a rampage after the “Red Ants” embarked on an exercise to reduce illegal electricity connections in the community.
Unfortunately, Aurum Institute Winnie Mandela Male Health Clinic (WMMHC), bore the brunt of the protests as part of the clinic was partially damaged.
According to WMMHC’s spokesperson, Mr Gopolang Peme, despite the damages, the clinic is still fully functional and it is “business as usual”.
“The clinic continues to offer free medical care such as circumcision and most men health-related services,” he said.
