A car hijacked in Birch Acres shortly after midnight on Sunday night, was recovered just over an hour later.
Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, said the hijacking of the white Ford Focus took place at McDonald’s. The vehicle tracking company officers, assisted by the metro police, were able to recover the vehicle at 2.17am.

The victim was threatened with firearms by two suspects, who sped off in his Ford Focus. The perpetrators were driving a red Ford Focus without number plates. The white Ford Focus was found abandoned on Ngalo street in Ivory Park.
Investigations are underway to locate and arrest the suspects who are on the run.
The recovered vehicle was booked in at Tembisa South Police Station.
