A 36-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in the presence of police officers on Sunday.
According to the Tembisa SAPS Constable Zukiswa Mgijima, police officers were summoned to the couple’s residence in Vusimuzi section prior to the man’s death.
“On arrival, officers found the couple in a heated argument. The police tried to resolve the matter between the two. Suddenly, the woman grabbed a sharp object and stabbed her boyfriend on the upper body,” she said.
Const Zukiswa said paramedics were called and the man was certified dead at the scene.
“The woman was arrested and detained at the Tembisa SAPS. A case of murder was opened. We urge members of the community not to resort to fights. Residents are encouraged to report acts of domestic violence to the police,” she said.
