Four VW Polos and one VW Golf1 were recovered. The arrests and recoveries were made by the metro police’s housebreaking unit.

Two of the six suspects are from Soweto and their four accomplices are residents of Tembisa, Kgasago said.

Initially, one was arrested. He started singing like a canary and pointed out the other five, resulting in the stolen and hijacked vehicles being located at three different places. The suspects’ ages are between 23 to 28 years.

All six were charged at Tembisa Police Station for being in possession of stolen cars.
