Man nabbed with suspected stolen bike and hose pipe

Police came across the man carrying a bicycle and a green bag

A 39-year old suspect was arrested in Paradaysvink Street, Birch Acres, on Wednesday at about 11:45 am for possession of suspected stolen property.

Norkem Park police spokesman Capt Lesibana Molokomme said the man was arrested by Norkem Park Crime Prevention unit members.

“The officers were patrolling and came across the suspect carrying a bicycle and a green bag. Upon searching the bag they recovered a 15m hose pipe. He failed to prove to police that he was the lawful owner. Both the bicycle and hose pipe were in a good condition,” said Molokomme.

Anyone who has proof of being the lawful owner of the properties is encouraged to open a case.
