A miniature dachshund has been missing since Wednesday after she has escaped from her Esther Park owner’s house during a burglary.
Piet Bezuidenhout said three criminals gained access to his house shortly before 11am, even though the alarm was on.

“Fortunately my neighbour from across the road intervened and the criminals left again without actually taking anything. But the worst part of the episode is that Keisha, who was inside the house, escaped in a panic and is now missing. We have been searching all over the area since then but to no avail. We have walked the streets; put up posters but so far no luck at all.”
The vehicle used by the burglars was a white four-door Opel Corsa. The registration number looks like SVJ 334 GP).
“I’m sure it is false as this number belongs to a totally different vehicle,” he said.

During a house robbery on Soenie Street, also in Esther Park, on Friday, a domestic worker was beaten up by robbers. One of the suspects had been arrested by Alpha Security.
