THREE men are wanted for business robbery after bombing a safe at the Total petrol station on Pongola Rivier Drive in Norkem Park.
The bombing and robbery incident happened on Sunday, July 19, around 1:29am.
According to acting Norkem Park SAPS spokesman WO Mahlodi Langa, an Opel Corsa Utility arrived at the garage and the petrol attendant went to assist.
“When he arrived at the car, three men got out of the bakkie and pointed 9mm pistols at him. They then forced him inside the shop where the cashier was also threatened with a firearm. The suspects took the victims into the storeroom,” explained Langa.
In the storeroom, the suspects bombed the safe and took an undisclosed amount of money. According to Langa the suspects also emptied two tills, took one Samsung cellphone and cigarettes.
“The suspects loaded the items onto their bakkie and fled the scene. No shots were fired and no one was injured.”
Police are still investigating the matter and have made no arrests yet.
