Kempton Park CPF urges residents to work with police
Prospective crime awareness projects were also discussed at the monthly Kempton CPF meeting
KEMPTON Park CPF chairperson, Luthando Lubando, urged the community to work closely with the police in the plight to reduce the crime rate in Kempton.
Lubando was speaking at the monthly Kempton CPF meeting, where the exco members were joined by Kempton SAPS station commander, Brig Bertha Kgoroba, and other SAPS members.

Various issues were addressed during the meeting including possible future crime awareness campaigns.
The members of the committee were also updated on the recent activities of the police and crime statistics.
“Some positive news was announced at the meeting, including an increased number of arrests made by the police, despite the high number of crime incidents reported,” police spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, remarked.
Suspects were arrested for a number of crimes from murder to the possession of drugs and stolen goods.
The meeting was held last Thursday at Manny’s Bean Coffee in Brentwood Park.
