Churches clash on soccer field

Heritage Day saw teams from four churches take to the soccer field to compete for a trophy.

The event organiser, Linda Mdunge, said the main aim of the sporting event was to take the youth away from the streets and keep them occupied by engaging in sporting activities.

The tournament was a tough with two teams emerging to compete in the finals.

Both the teams proved to be tough opponents as they refused to concede any goals.

The game went to penalty shoot-out and Soweto Christians beat EFESU 5- 4.
