Norkem teen friends missing since Saturday night

She sneaked out of the house while her family was asleep

NORKEM Park Police, together with family members, are searching for two teenage girls who had been missing since Saturday night.

Rethabile Dikobe (15) sneaked out of her house while her family was asleep. Kea Mothibe, her niece, woke up and found that Dikobe was missing.

“From what I could remember she wore a pink, purple and blue “onesie”. When I went to check, her toothbrush and everything else were still in their place,” said Mothibe.

It is suspected she went to a friend’s house in a complex across the road from Norkem Park Checkers. This friend, only known to the family as Naledi, is also missing.

“We got some information from another friend that the two girls went to a boy’s house nearby. When we confronted him, he said he knew where they were but when we arrived at the location there was no-one there,” said Mothibe.

The family also doubts she took any clothes with her because none of her clothes are missing from her room.

“She is about 1.6m tall, has straight black hair and sometimes ties it into a pony tail. She has a faint birth mark on her forehead and weighs between 50 and 60kg. She speaks English and prefers to be called Retha,” said Mothibe.

A missing persons case was opened with Norkem park SAPS.

If anyone has more information, call Mothibe on 060-508-0106.
