The suspect, who had been on the run since, was eventually arrested at 5.30pm in Tembisa by EMPD Loss Control Unit members.
Information was received by the metro police that the suspect was attending a cultural event in Phomolong. The metro police closed in on the man and arrested him.
The 38-year old wanted suspect was taken to Tembisa Police Station where he was subsequently picked up by Germiston SAPS Organised Crime Unit members.
“With the suspect now in police custody, authorities believe that the 2014 case will be cracked and all the persons involved arrested,” Kgasago said.
