First pictures of son who allegedly killed his mother (78)

This time, only one close friend of Annatjie's attended the appearance

AS the festive season nears, murder accused Gideon Stassen and his co-accused girlfriend will spend another few days in jail.

This is after their bail application was postponed yet again after a long wait in the court cells on Friday afternoon.

They will find out a few days before Christmas if they will spend the festive season behind bars or not.

Stassen (43) and his girlfriend, Chantelle Justine Minnott (31), are facing a murder charge after allegedly admitting to killing Stassen’s 78-year-old mother, Annatjie Stassen, on November 16.

Wearing the same clothes as during their previous appearance on Thursday morning, they briefly appeared in front of Magistrate P Manyathi.

This time, only one close friend of Annatjie’s attended court.

After a few seconds of deliberating with their state lawyer, Masiya, the murder accused couple was told by Manyathi that their case was again postponed for a formal bail application.

They will again appear on December 21.
