AS the festive season nears, murder accused Gideon Stassen and his co-accused girlfriend will spend another few days in jail.
This is after their bail application was postponed yet again after a long wait in the court cells on Friday afternoon.
They will find out a few days before Christmas if they will spend the festive season behind bars or not.
Stassen (43) and his girlfriend, Chantelle Justine Minnott (31), are facing a murder charge after allegedly admitting to killing Stassen’s 78-year-old mother, Annatjie Stassen, on November 16.
Wearing the same clothes as during their previous appearance on Thursday morning, they briefly appeared in front of Magistrate P Manyathi.
This time, only one close friend of Annatjie’s attended court.

They will again appear on December 21.
