Man’s family believes he did not commit suicide

The man's family said the woman's family had threatened him and that they "wouldn't sleep until they find him."

The family of the man accused of slitting his two children’s throats are no longer willing to speak to the media.

Tembisan previously reported the SAPS discovered the body of the man on December 17.

It is alleged the children’s 22-year-old father slit their throats, stabbed the children’s mother and then committed suicide. His family stated they do not believe the man committed suicide.

Family of the woman said the woman’s condition in hospital is stable but she has no knowledge of her two children’s deaths.

The man’s family said they are disappointed with the media for reporting the man had committed suicide.

“If he wanted to commit suicide he would have killed himself immediately after stabbing the woman. He must have been beaten to death somewhere else and dumped in that house,” said a family member.

The man’s family said the woman’s family had threatened him and that they “wouldn’t sleep until they find him.”
