Murder house in Spekboom Street has been burgled

They will be back in court on December 29

IT seems murder accused Gideon Stassen and his girlfriend will be singing their Christmas carols behind bars this year.

This after their bail application was postponed yet again after an appearance in court on Monday morning.

Stassen (43) and his girlfriend of about one year, Chantelle Justine Minnot (31), are accused ok murdering Stassen’s 78-year-old pensioner mother Annatjie Stassen on November 16.

According to Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Capt Jethro Mtshali, the couple was afforded an opportunity to provide their alternative places to stay in case they were granted bail.

Stassen and Minnot were living with Annatjie in her Spekboom Street home before they allegedly killed her. The home, according to a reliable source, will now be rented out to tenants, as it had allegedly been broken into since it had been unoccupied.

Minnott gave an address for a place in Pongola, Kwa-Zulu Natal (where she is originally from) and Stassen gave an address for a Brakpan residence.

They will be back in court on December 29.
