PATIENTS and staff at an Edleen dentist had a nightmare experience on Tuesday afternoon when they were robbed at gunpoint.
Four men, pretending to be clients, entered the surgery on Rienert Avenue at around 3pm.
One pulled out a gun and demanded the belongings of those inside. They took jewellery, watches, cellphones and cash.

An employee managed to press the panic button. In the meantime, Alpha Security officer Ephraim Boyama and the rest of the team responded to a call on an Edleen WhatsApp group. Upon arrival Boyama chased and managed to arrest one of the suspects.
Two more suspects were arrested by Norkem Park SAPS.
According to Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesman for Norkem Park SAPS, MML Security and the sector vehicle responded. The first suspect was arrested along Rienert Avenue in Terenure and two more on Spoorweg Street in Kempton Park West.
“The suspects are aged between 25 and 34 years and will face a charge of business robbery. No property robbed had been recovered,” Molokomme said.
