POLICE say they expect to make more arrests after a Nigerian national was caught with stolen goods in the early hours of Friday morning.
According to Kempton SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, police were first notified at 2am about a burglary at a shop on Pine Avenue, where several beds and mattresses were stolen.
Police then went out to the crime scene.

“While police were still on the scene where the burglary had occurred, another police vehicle was patrolling along West Street and two men were seen carrying beds and mattresses,” Mtshali said.
When they noticed the police vehicle, they threw the goods down and attempted to run away, but the police managed to catch and arrest one of the men.
Later it was established that the items were among the goods stolen during the burglary on Pine Avenue.
The suspect (40) will appear in court soon for being in possession of stolen property.
