One man was killed and another critically wounded in a shooting incident near Presley’s on North Rand Road in Boksburg on Tuesday evening.
ER24 paramedics and other services attended to the incident on Field Street.
According to Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesman, paramedics found two men in a vehicle. Upon assessment of the men, believed to be in their 20s, it was found that one had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Sadly there was nothing that could be done for the patient. He had succumbed to his injuries.
Upon assessment of the second person, who was also shot, it was found he was in a critical condition. He was treated and airlifted by a private medical helicopter to hospital for further medical care.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
