AFTER jumping over an electrified fence and robbing a house in Edleen, two suspects, who almost got away with goods worth R25 000, were arrested.
The arrest took place on Friday, January 15, at about midday.
The two men were arrested for a house robbery on Oleander Street, Edleen. Alpha Security, the metro police and Norkem Park SAPS sector members responded to the scene.
“The two suspects jumped over the fence into a property on Oleander Street,” said Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme.

“In the yard they found the door to the house wide open and upon entering, found a 45-year old domestic worker doing the ironing,” he further explained.
Molokomme said one of the suspects ordered the woman not to look at them while the other started taking items from the house. They left the victim in the house; she was not tied up.
“After a few minutes she went to the neighbours to call Alpha Security and the police. Five Alpha Security cars, three metro vehicles and a sector vehicle responded to the scene,” said Molokomme.
The spokesman said the victim gave a description of the suspects and details of the direction they took.
“The team spotted the suspects moving towards Festival Mall in possession of a bag, five cellphones, two laptops, one Ipad, a bottle of wine, jewellery, house keys with a remote, all valued at an estimated R25 000.”
The arrested suspects, aged 27 and 28, will appear in court on a charge of house robbery.
Norkem Park SAPS acting station commander, Lt Col Potgieter, praised all the role-players involved in the arrest.
