Two suspects have been arrested on Thursday following the murder of Maj Coert Jordaan at a lake in Springs on Wednesday afternoon.
Lt Col Lungelo Dlamini, SAPS province spokesman, told Springs Advertiser the arrest followed the manhunt for the suspects who killed the officer at Aston Lake.
Jordaan’s Nissan Navara, two firearms and a knife were recovered.
Dlamini said EMPD officials followed up on information received from the community about the whereabouts of the suspects. The suspects will be charged with murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and possession of a stolen vehicle when they appear in Springs Magistrate’s Court.
Jordaan went fishing at Aston Lake at 7am on Wednesday and his body was found by an Aston Lake employee at 2.30pm.
