Tembisa Cluster arrest 103 suspects over weekend

Amongst the arrested are the 2 suspects, aged 19 and 20 years, who were arrested on Sunday in Ivory Park SAPS for kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl in Kaalfontein, Extension 1.

The Tembisa SAPS Cluster arrested 103 suspects over the weekend of February 13 and 14.

Ivory Park SAPS communication officer, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said 43 of the suspects were found driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol, eight were held at Sebenza SAPS and 17 at Rabie ridge SAPS. 10 suspects were arrested for possession of dagga, 10 for assault and two for Domestic violence,” W/O Sekgobela said.

W/O Sekgobela said the cluster also arrested nine suspects for possession of drugs.

“Amongst the arrested are the two suspects, aged 19 and 20 years, who were arrested on Sunday in Ivory Park SAPS for kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl in Kaalfontein, Extension 1. It is alleged that the two suspects took turns in raping the victim for the whole night of Thursday, using condoms. All the suspects are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court,” W/O Sekgobela said.
