SUV hijacked in Rustenburg recovered in Tembisa

The suspect is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court later today.

A Toyota Voxy SUV hijacked on Thursday night in Rustenburg in the province of North West was recovered on Friday morning around 6.4am0 in Tembisa by the EMPD Loss Control and Investigations Unit member.

The tracking system of the hijacked vehicle led the metro police officer to Ethafeni section in Tembisa where the vehicle was found with one suspect in it. The suspect who is in his 30s was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle at Tembisa police station.

He is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court later today.
