Edleen resident’s hijacked car found in Tembisa

The suspects are still at large

THE Kia Rio of an Edleen resident, wich was hijacked early on Sunday morning, was found within an hour.

Lt Col Wilfred Kgasago, spokesman for Ekurhuleni Metro Police, said three armed men robbed the owner of his sedan in Edleen around 7.30am.

“The Edleen precint commander with EMPD loss control and investigations members traced the vehicle to Vusumuzi Section in Tembisa. The hijacked vehicle was recovered abandoned as the suspects had disappeared,” Kgasago said.

The vehicle was taken to the SAPS Van Ryn pound in Benoni. The suspects are still at large.
