The City of Ekurhuleni seeks to sharpen its citizens’ writing skills through a creative writing.

Ekurhuleni spokesperson Mr Themba Gadebe said a total of 40 writers were accepted into the creative writing programme.

“Those people were tutored on writing blogs and how to package, publish and market their literary works on different platforms, including the web. Through this workshop, the City of Ekurhuleni afforded those who are passionate writers the opportunity to hone their skills, free of charge, so that they may be catapulted to the next level of their journey as creatives,” said Mr Gadebe.

The outcome of the project will also include the production of an anthology of 10 short stories written by the top 10 best-performing candidates.
