Bright hair and healthy hearts at shavathon and health day

Singer Nico Booijse entertained the crowd with a few tunes

PEOPLE got their healthy on at Saturday’s Cansa Shavathon and Wellness Day at Cavendish Glen.

Scores of community members went through to get their hair colour sprayed in aid of the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa), and to get their health in check by getting free cholesterol, glucose and blood tests done.

The event was a collaborative effort between Lancet Laboratories, Intercare and Stardust Hair Salon.

Singer Nico Booijse entertained the crowds with a few tunes, and was joined by other vocalists as well, who performed famous hit songs by pop artists.

The tenants at the centre also donated gift vouchers which were given away to people in competitions.

Fun entertainment was also organised for children with a photo booth, jumping castle and a mechanical bull ride to keep them busy.
