THE Norkem Park SAPS got the month of March off to a good start when they made 18 arrests during the first four days of the month.
The Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, said the arrests were made between Monday, February 29, to Thursday March 3.
“The arrests came from detective operations, police members attending complaints at sectors and cooperation with crime prevention members,” he explained.
Arrests include: assault common under domestic violence – 5, theft common – 5, assault with the intent to cause bodily harm – 2, shoplifting – 1, malicious damage to property – 1, possession of suspected stolen property – 1, pointing of firearm – 1, intimidation -1, driving under the influence -1.
Molokomme added that the suspects have been appearing in court this week on different days, facing their various charges.
