“Detectives tracing suspects in various cases arrested the suspect at his home in Maokeng Section, Tembisa,” explained Molokomme.
“It is alleged that on December 9, at about 10am, the suspect and two friends approached two of their classmates from the same school around the Norkem Park policing area. The victim was robbed while walking along Maroela Street in Birchleigh,” Molokomme further explained.
The arrested suspect allegedly grabbed the cellphone from the victim and all three suspects ran into different directions with the Samsung S4 valued at R2 500.
“During the arrest the stolen cellphone was not found. Police are still searching for the other two suspects.”
