“One broke from the group and was observed peeping into vehicles that were parked. Seemingly, suspecting they were being observed, the four disappeared from the parking area,” Kgasago said.

An hour after the four men’s disappearance, it emerged that a silver grey LDV Toyota was broken into and a laptop and a GPS device stolen.

On Monday, around midday, information gathered led to the arrest of three suspects, two in Tembisa and one in Ivory Park. The fourth suspect was pointed out by the three suspects as the person to whom the stolen laptop and GPS device were sold.

The three suspects were charged with breaking into a motor vehicle and theft with the fourth slapped with a charge of buying stolen property. The charges were registered at Kempton Park Police Station.
