Missionary group involved in accident on Modderfontein Road
Luckily no one was injured

A Kempton park resident and missionary group from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were involved in a three-car accident on Modderfontein Road on Saturday morning around 10am.
“I was travelling towards Kaalfontein when a white sedan suddenly stopped dead in front of me. Its break lights didn’t work and I had to brake hard to avoid hitting him,” explained the Kempton resident.
The man in the white sedan drove off, leaving the resident and the missionary group in shock.
The missionary group of six men from all over the world were on their way to Tembisa to attend an activity from their programme at a church.
“We saw the woman in the Figo braking suddenly because of the man in front of her. We swerved and hit her. It happened so fast but by the miracle and grace of God we are safe,” said one of the missionary group members.
The resident phoned Kempton Park SAPS, but after an hour of waiting for them and traffic backing up, Gregory van Wyk from First Road jumped in and helped direct traffic to avoid another accident.
