Tembisa SAPS gets new station commander

Brig Ndebele has been commended for accountability, commitment and strong decision making.

The Tembisa Police Station welcomed the arrival of its new station commander.

Brigadier Vuyokazi Ndebele took office on March 7, following her tenure as cluster commander in Benoni. Brig Ndebele has enormous experience up her sleeve for her to be worthy of the position of station commander in Tembisa.

In previous years she headed a number of police stations as station commander.

She was the commander for the Emergency Services where she was managing the 10111 call centre, the K9 dog unit, the SAPS mounted unit (horses), the accident unit and the flying squad.

Brig Ndebele has been commended for accountability, commitment and strong decision making.

This is evident in her long-term service record in the SAPS as a station commander at the following police stations: Rosebank, Faiylands, Sasolburg, Odendaalrus, Meadowlands in Soweto and Area Vaal Rand, where she was the head of crime prevention.

She said her performance in all her assignments was exceptional because she loves working with the community and all community structures.

“I am looking forward to working with the community of Tembisa. I am somebody who believes in good results. I believe in an open door policy,” said Brig Ndebele.

She said with the support of all the relevant players, she is prepared to improve service delivery in Tembisa in spite of the dynamics like environment design of the station’s precinct in Tembisa.

She has served in the SAPS for 29 years and was promoted to the rank of Brigadier in 2005.

“I am happy to be the station commander of Tembisa”, said Brig Ndebele.
