Well-known businessman (67) loses battle with cancer

Ray's funeral service will be held on April 1 at the NG Church Hoogland

LOVING father, grandfather and well-known businessman, Ray Arntzen (67), lost a year-long battle with cancer on March 27 at the Netcare Linksfield Hospital.

He was the co-owner of Dave’s Car Sales and has been a resident of Kempton Park since 1974.

Ray was described by his colleagues as a champion at bowls and he was club president at Fairmount Bowling Club.

He and his partner bought Dave’s Car Sales in May 2002 and built it into a successful business of which many happy clients can vouch for. This business became a landmark in Kempton Park.

He will be remembered by his clients through the mannerism and professional way in which he treated all of them – always remembering them by name.

Ray’s funeral service will be held on April 1 at the NG Church Hoogland at 85 De Wiekus Road, Van Riebeeck Park at 11am.

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Dianne, three children, six grandchildren, friends and family.
